The Orlando Singers was founded in 1976 by a group of friends, still represented in the choir today. The choir's name was inspired by the composers Orlando Lassus and Orlando Gibbons, whose music figured in the group's first concert, and by the urgent need to go to press with the programme notes!

The choir rehearses in central Cambridge on Thursday evenings, and performs three or more concerts each year, making use of the abundance of fine venues in and around the town and the colleges of Cambridge.

Here is the choir during our performance at St Andrew's Hall, Cambridge.
